Switzerland to Italy today a nice easy run with time to stop and smell the roses. Hotel Felmis near Lucerne was very comfortable and by Swiss standards very reasonable, we left after an excellent breakfast and went down to the shores of Lake Lucerne to meet the swans, some of whom were busy swimming and some who were very sleepy.
Expected to pay a few tolls today going on motorways and passing through the Gotthard road tunnel but surprise surprise no money changed hands, I cannot think it will never happen though later on.
We made it to Lake Maggiore and stopped at Cannobio with a least one canvas in the bag, onward to Stresa.
