Verona, our second visit though overnight this time, seems like only yesterday, we remembered where we had walked particularly the shopping streets......! It's a very buzzy city and the main square has lots of eating places, soon as we had checked in to the hotel, which was just outside the gate to the square. First thing was Capari and Orange with olives, hmmmm.
Then some retail and off to find the Pietro Bridge and take some pictures. Last time we were not here long enough to walk around there although the one photo I had taken of the bridge sold at the last market, the guy at the hotel told us you can walk up behind it and take some shots from the top. I'm not sure how many steps there were but we were knackered by the time we reached the viewing area, but the view was great and photos taken.
Time then to walk back to the Arena and a restaurant for tortolini all round, must admit looking forward to staying put for a week in Cortona
