Day spent preparing for week in Dorset with Sue and Al. A visit to Solihull for retail look around and a pass by my old school Woodlands which is about to be closed and the land sold off for housing for the council to make a quick buck at the expense of children education. Woodlands is now a sport academy with lots of playing fields and many building assets but the council have deemed it appropriate to build a new school somewhere else and amalgamate my old school with another , Tile Hill Wood Girls School, so 55 years of history goes down the drain for the sake of the almighty pound. am I annoyed, yes because some pupils in their final important years will have to move schools with very little notice AND my junior school was sold a few years ago.
