Following the recovery day we decided to to attempt the next walk, North Sannox Glen. This was described in the walking book as a comfortable walk on a prepared path but on reaching the end of it it gets harder, so off we went. There were several groups walking up and down the path, the scenery was great but when we got to the end of the path we decided to press on. The path was indeed more difficult and wet but on we went, for the next two hours we saw not a living thing aside from one small bird on the way back, we started, according to the gps at 43 metres and after the final ascent we were at 305 metres which is just on a 1000 feet so we actually climbed to the top of a mountain. We really loved the walk even though it was harder than we thought, sitting on a rock at a 1000 feet in total silence eating Malcolms frittata.
The walk down was easier but still wet, a very enjoyable day. 7.23 km for the day....
