Wednesday was a walking day to Flatford Mill, John Constable country, how different it must have been in his time but there is still beauty to be found. Freddy the black labrador and Peter showed us the way, as we were alongside the River Stour Freddy spent a lot of time in the water enjoying himself tremendously, only had to be rescued twice as he was too exhausted to drag himself up the bank. Negotiated the herd of cows although Freddy was a bit spooked as they were bigger than him, Penny played the cowgirl and got us through safely. We got to Flatford Mill along with many others and I did manage to get pictures without them in it.
After this we drove into Colchester and walked around the castle and the surrounding park, beautiful gardens but grey squirrels abound.
