Day 74 - 75 - 76 - Monday - Tuesday - Wednesday - Catch Up

Catch up time. Monday we left Peter and David's to go to Fleet to see Mike and Ro. Before we did though a package arrived from Scotland, a preview of a new product from MacSween, tinned haggis, this was arranged by Marina who knows THE James MacSween, she explained that I liked haggis and I had said that if it was tinned we could get it in Australia. Turns out they are just about to introduce it so he sent me some samples, and very nice it is too.

We called in at St Albans  where Penny was born and turned out they were have a sale of pennys but as I already had the best one....! On Penny's birth certificate it has place of birth as Batchwood Hal so we went and found it. Picture below shows the girl standing in front of what she thinks is her flat, we need confirmation! Of course it is no longer flats but is now the No 1 nightspot in St Albans.

It was great to see Ro and Mike and we had some great chats and meals, fixed the problems of Brexit and Arsenal and Coventry football clubs. Mike had a slight mishap with his BMW and gently nudged the Peugeot so he had to get his mate Charlie the Buffer around to polish out some scratches. No real harm done.

Then on Wednesday its was off to Greenwich and the Staycity Apartments and a late afternoon walk to the Cutty Sark.
