So looking for higher ground we set off for the Derbyshire Dales and snow, plus a suprise!
We drove through a little place called Bakewell, where the tarts come from. We then came across the Lathkill Hotel in Over Haddon. What is the significance you say!
It is the hotel that Penny's mum and dad spent part of their honeymoon in August 1939 and we still have the receipt at home. In those days it was called the Lathkill View Hotel...
We had lunch and a Warm Pimms with apple juice and soaked up the atmosphere..
