Our day began in Florence with the delivery of CXY from the garage at 7-30am, John's day began at 2am driving to Dublin for his flight to Milan, but he did get an Aer Lingus full Irish breakfast on the plane.
Unlike our arrival it took 5 minutes to get on the road out of Florence and heading for Milan. There was some doubt we would make it to Linarte airport before John and that he might have to kick his heels a bit waiting for us. We were worried that when we did get there, parking would be difficult and expensive, would we find the right terminal building, oh the pressure. As it turned out, we were right on time, parked the car went through one door into the terminal building, walked 100 metres and met John as he came out of immigration, and the parking only cost €5. Job done!
The drive to Belaggio was quick and easy and we were there in time for lunch at the Ristorante Splendide on the water front. I wonder what the poor folk were doing........
After lunch we found our beautiful apartment and met Anna who owns it. There lots of room for the 3 of us to knock around in and an L shaped balcony with a wonderful view.
Ahhh feel the serenity!
