Day 21 Bellagio 2nd day

Sunday morning, hazy sunny day and the church bells are ringing. We arise slowly and make our way down into Bellagio. Already it's buzzing, especially with the sound of motor cycles. It seems that anyone who owns a Ducati, BMW, Triumph or any bike at all makes their way here. The road around the lake is a bikers paradise with twisty bends and splendid views, so they all ride up, probably from Milan and spend the day here meeting friends, drinking coffee and having a good time.

Penny decided that today she would have a make over and booked herself in at the hair salon. To be honest I saw the old guy running the place and I though she would come back with a short back and sides, however, he was a really proper artiste and the result was pretty damn good. So all was well.......

For her birthday Penny was given some € by the Sydney Lambs and she found a shop with bags and accessories by an original designer for very reasonable prices. In she went and came out with a beautiful handbag, you can never have enough of those,.(smile)

We had lunch at another great restaurant right on the water and John and I had most of a bottle of Rosé and a glass of grappa, the meal was good but the walk back up the hill was tricky, so we both had a lie down.  Later we took the car back to village, sensible move, walked among the market that had been set up in the afternoon then retired to a cafe for aperitif time, Campari with soda and a bowl of nibbles and olives. I don't like olives but I think maybe I do now as I polished off half the bowl........   at this rate I'll be eating corn next ... lol
