The previous blog was going to be longer but the wireless at the hotel went off so I lost the half I hadn't saved. doh!
Saturday was the wedding day for Marianne and Michael which is why we were in Surrey at Frimley Hall Hotel, but before all that a retrospect of events so far.......
First the naming of the car..... as we are wont to do. We picked it up at Heathrow without providing any ID whatsoever, just two signatures, try and get a hire car like that.
She is very gallic, left-hand drive, French number plates and a manual I cannot read. We also have a certificate of ownership of which the only thing I can read is the name and address!

We're back and very nice it was too!
CXY is very nice to drive and once Penny got used to being in the middle of the road all is well. At least the sat nav is in English and seems to know where to go, impressive. I do have to take it to a dealer tomorrow as I cannot work out how to turn the daylight running lights on...........
London was good as usual, a Tuesday night dinner with Peter and David before they flew of to Cadiz for a weeks holiday, people here do that sort of thing, lucky buggers.
We spent of a lot of time walking around as it was good for the back, but pretty exhausting. Across Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, up and down Oxford Street, Covent Gardens and Borough Markets.

Saturday was the day of the wedding we had been invited to. Marianne is the daughter of Ro and Mike Tyndall, Ro and Lesley went to school together in Crosby near Liverpool, apparently Penny was the annoying little sister, we have kept in touch and visit each time we come over, so this time we arranged the timing so that we could attend.
The bridegroom is another Mike, Mike Smallwood. He is in the RAF and is something in helicopters, he has already been to Afganistan for two tours and is about to depart for a third time.
