Day 39 - Liverpool - Tuesday

Home to Coventry via Liverpool and Crosby...    memories for Penny

We saw where they lived in Great Crosby and we went down to Crosby Sands.

On the beach is the most amazing thing, the man who designed "The Angel of the North", made dozens of copies of a full size statue of himself and planted them in the sand. They are brass and sitting on concrete, some are fully submerged at high time but they are very evocative.

Then onto Liverpool and the Albert Dock complex. After a drink and a walk around we went into the Maritime Museum and low and behold a Titanic Exhibition. Thats the second in 7 weeks, the last was in Melbourne ....

The shopping centre nearby is called Liverpool 1 -  The Liverpool football club has a shop in there but two doors away Everton football club has theirs....     It's called Everton 2 ---   So it's Liverpool 1 Everton 2  neat huh!
