Another glorious day in the South of France and it was time to say farewell to our time in Nove, we enjoyed our time there especially the afternoon swim in the pool to cool off from the 30 degree heat. we set off early as it was over four and a half hours to Auch. Not sure why we choose Auch as a stop so it will be interesting to see what it is like. We were making good time so it was decided to see if we could stop at the Med and have a swim if we could. We turned off to Beziers and found the Canal Du Midi and stopped to get some photos then it was on to the beach. We followed the signs to Valras-Plage, not sure that we got to there exactly but we ended up near some dunes with quite a large car park. We followed a couple of people across the dunes and as we top the ridge and saw the beach and the water we saw a lot more, I mean a lot more…… Turns out it was a Beach Au Natural. We made our way onto the beach and decided that as the swimmers were in the suitcase we would just paddle however the water looked good and the temperature hot we thought what the hell. Tick another box on the to do list……..! No selfies please.
Getting back into the car we felt refreshed ready for the rest of the journey. It was no time to Toulouse passing all the Airbus factories and after a break for a late lunch and some more great views we made it to the hotel just outside Auch. A very nice place with more stunning scenery and a great room.
